I feel like keeping these a secret is bringing me bad karma, haha (got a speeding ticket for the proof). These are my holy grail of beauty products that I use daily.
Have you tried Nivea Men’s Post Shave Balm in Sensitive as your makeup primer? Ever since Nikki Tutorials posted on her YouTube about running out of moisturizer and grabbing this shave balm out of her boyfriend’s bag and using it as a makeup primer, every beauty guru has agreed it’s the best! It has glycerin as a main ingredient which makes products stick to the skin and is exactly what a makeup primer needs to do! AND IT’s CHEAP. Try it out. Change your life.
Mario Badesco’s Rose Water Spray is heaven on your face. It is moisturizing. It smells fantastic. It has aloe and herbs and can be used to set your makeup. I use it to dampen by Beauty Blender to apply my foundation and under eye, and also when I get home from work and need to spruce up my face a little before heading back out for the night. It will revive your makeup and is a little sweet pick me up for you too. Tip: When you start running low, just add more water to it to fill it back up. It will still have that amazing rose smell. Tip2: If you aren’t using a Beauty Blender, you aren’t living! It is amazing at giving you a flawless finish and should be on my list as well.
Tarte’s Amazonian Clay foundation is perfect for me. It is oil-free, has vitamins A & E, and non-chemical SPF. It is a full coverage 12 hour wear. Lasts all day. Covers smoothly. It does not dry out my skin and the color Light Neutral matches me perfectly.
Tarte’s Creaseless Concealer. CREASELESS! You know how you have fine lines under your eyes and your makeup likes to build up in the lines and make you look old and wrinkly? No more! I have dry skin so I don’t always set my under eye concealer. With this Creaseless Concealer by Tarte, I don’t have to set it and it gives me a luminous glow.
Loreal’s Original Voluminous Mascara. Y’all. I have been using this since I was a tween. Don’t get me wrong. I love expensive brands like Chanel’s Le Volume and Dior’s Diorshow mascaras, but when I’m out and just want to grab something cheap. I go for Loreal’s Voluminous. Tip: Apply mascara from the root and make a zig zag pattern as you go up to the tip of the lashes. It will build and coat your lashes much better. Tip2: I use a waterproof mascara on my bottom lashes which helps from looking like a raccoon from when your mascara rubs off on your under eye concealer. It’s made a HUGE difference.
Naked’s Basic Palette. SERIOUSLY. This is what you need for an everyday classic look. It is all matte colors. It is my go to when I just want to look natural. Tip: Use it in your brows to fill in gaps and make your brows look fuller then use 7.
Anastasia’s Clear Brow Gel. Wow. It has made a huge difference in my brows. If you used 6 to fill in your brows, this will help keep it set all day so you don’t rub it off. It will also keep your brows groomed and in place. It does dry a little hard, but I don’t mind it because it stays until I remove it. You know you want your brows on fleek! ha
Clinique’s Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. When I give to my girlfriends’ to try, they always think it is going to be way dark on their lips. It’s not. It’s a light balm and it is hydrating. It is the perfect tint for every day and a classic look. It’s a cult favorite and has been around forever. Tip: You can layer on a few coats and get in to the 90s trend 😉
Carmex Lip Balm. I’ve been using this since I was a child. My mom keeps a pot of it on her nightstand and has been using it FOREVER. It is one of my holy grails for sure. I buy them in 3 packs and keep one in every purse, bag, and makeup bag and on my nightstand. I use it everyday.
Oribe’s Dry Texturizing Spray. THIS HAS CHANGED MY LIFE. I have very fine hair. I don’t wear extensions so I’m always trying every volumizing hair product to man to try and give me the look of full voluminous sexy hair. This is it. It makes a huge difference! Try it. It will change your life. Even if you have thick hair, it will give your hair some life!
Garnier’s Micellar Water. Have you heard of Micellar Water? Lots of brands have their own now. La Mer sells theirs for $90 a bottle! Garnier’s is under $10. Micellar water is made up of micelles which are tiny balls of oil suspended in water. (It is not oily at all!) Micelles attract dirt and oil and makeup like a magnet and pulls out impurities in your skin as well without drying out your skin because it moisturizes as well. It is very gentle and great for all skin types. It is the best makeup remover I have ever tried. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated without any oily feeling. It’s really amazing.
Have you tried any of these? Which are you excited to try? Let me know in the comments!
